On the Board the last eight years, I have employed a determined attitude to support parents in their pursuit of educational excellence for their children. I will continue to provide a voice for small class sizes and educational excellence. As Curriculum Committee chair and Facilities Committee co-chair, I have worked diligently to ensure that our students are taught the information and skills they need to succeed in today’s world in a physical environment that is conducive to learning. I also championed a number of effective educational initiatives that saved taxpayers millions of dollars. For more information on where I stand on the educational issues, see dougfoyle.wordpress.com.
In my time in office, whether citizens phoned, emailed, or spoke at a Board meeting, I’ve listened, responded, and integrated their concerns into my decisions. I will continue to use citizen input and my best judgment to move education forward.
